We have been able to secure 2 dates to run BBQ’s at the Sandown Bunnings Warehouse. In the past these fund raising events have been very successful.
Sandown Bunnings Warehouse is only 10mins from the State Volleyball Center so it would be great to support the club by driving past on the way home/to volleyball to buy a snag.

For the first time we will be holding a comedy night at The Comic’s Lounge as a fundraiser for the club. We have 100+ tickets to sell, so bring friends, family or any randoms you can sell tickets too as all ticket sales go to Yarra Ranges Volleyball Club.
When: Thursday 18th June 2009 - Training is cancelled for the night, so everyone should be available.
Where: The Comics Lounge, 26 Errol St, North Melbourne
How Much: $15 Show Only - Optional $15 dinner which must be booked by calling Comics Lounge on 93489488
What Time: Show starts at 8pm, Dinner starts at 7pm

Congratulations to the division one boys and girls who both came second on the weekend and now have been locked into division one for state league. What a good start to the season!

Congratulation to the women’s honours team who won the Warrnambool Seaside Tournament! They played extremely well over the whole weekend and put on a great show in the final against Monash.
Women’s honours player Anne Roberts also picked up the MVP award! This is an impressive achievement as she won MVP at the Warrnambool tournament 10 years ago.
The men’s team finished a respectable 4th with some new inclusions in the team it’s looking good for state league 2009.

Yarra Ranges will be entering the mens and womens honours teams into the 24th Annual Seaside Volleyball Tournament over the long weekend.
The mens team has the tough job of trying to defend the title they won last year, while the womens team is stronger and looking for victory.
Accomodation
We will be staying at the Warrnambool Surfside Holiday Park. Perfectly located right next to the beach and a close drive from the tournament venue.
The costs include: Entry fee (~$45), Accomodation ($9/night), Food, Petrol money.
This year Jason Smale (mens honours) organising group breakfast (bacon & eggs, cereal, etc). If you would like to join in, please talk to him before the weekend
