Warrnambool Seaside Volleyball Tournament

Yarra Ranges will be entering the mens and womens honours teams into the 24th Annual Seaside Volleyball Tournament over the long weekend.

The mens team has the tough job of trying to defend the title they won last year, while the womens team is stronger and looking for victory.

Accomodation

We will be staying at the Warrnambool Surfside Holiday Park. Perfectly located right next to the beach and a close drive from the tournament venue.

The costs include: Entry fee (~$45), Accomodation ($9/night), Food, Petrol money.

This year Jason Smale (mens honours) organising group breakfast (bacon & eggs, cereal, etc). If you would like to join in, please talk to him before the weekend

Many players missed out because of the VVI rule which only allows 2 transfers per team which was dissapointing. If you were one of these players please speak to the coaching staff to see what can be done to make sure you can play with Yarra Ranges next year or remain involved this year.

Barefoot Bowls - Sunday 15th March

After massive success last year, Barefoot Bowls are back in 2009 bigger and better than ever. Start organising your teams now!

MONBULK LAWN BOWLS CLUB
SUNDAY 15th MARCH, 2009
2pm til 5pm

MELWAYS REF: MAP 124 - 1H

  • Come and enjoy our first social function of the year with an afternoon of lawn bowls, music and drinks.
  • All you need is a team of 4 people (if you can’t organise a team we can hopefully put you with someone on the day but please do your best to organise a team before the event!).
  • The bar will be open all afternoon (drinks at bar prices) and the bistro will open afterwards.
  • We encourage everyone to stay for a meal and get to know other people from the club.
  • Monbulk Lawn Bowls Club have been good supporters of us so it would be great to support them, plus the food is great!

Other details:

  • Bare feet or FLAT SOLED SHOES!!! This is a must. You will not be allowed on the greens in anything else!
  • Cost of the day is $20 per person (pay on the day). Don’t forget to bring money for beers and a meal afterwards
  • Drinks will be at bar prices
  • Teams of 4
  • Put your name down on the registration sheets at training for bowls and the bistro afterwards because we will need to know numbers.
  • This event is outside so if it rains we will have to cancel

This is a great day to get your family and friends involved in the club!
